Mariel M. Velez, M.D., Ph.D. is a board-certified neurologist specializing in epilepsy and is the Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at California Pacific Medical Center. She has special interests in medical devices, neuropsychiatry, and women’s issues within the field of epilepsy. Dr. Velez is active in medical research and has published in a number of medical journals.
Dr. Velez completed her medical education, neurology residency, and Epilepsy Fellowship at Stanford University. In addition, Dr. Velez completed a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience at Stanford University.
